I've still not been able to contact CLassic, so until then, I need people to post every suggestion for rules, judging systems, etc. that they have. With the current IotW, themes are beginning to get hard to think of. Wink So also make sure to post a list of themes you think would be nice. Smiley

1.Moderators in the interests of fairness should not enter, as they would end up having to judge their own work.

2.Dose the submitted image meet the sprite of the entry criteria not just the technical aspects which are important but dose the individual meet the context of what is been asked of it.

3.One (1) image per entrant this rule specifies that: Under no circumstance what ever shall any member post multiple images, (b.) have multiple entries posted on their behalf, (c) Knowingly or unknowingly pass off another’s work and/or let another do the same any work(s) not their own (Herein called submission fraud) (d) any variant of subsections (a to c) of this title or any variant known or unknown via any means for what ever purpose shall be forfeit with disqualification  for that week the member(s) so found.

4.All entries so submitted shall be submitted for judgment by a set time and date as set forth by the moderators entries after this allotted time shall be forfeit and not considered for judgement.

5.Friendship should in no way what ever should be considered within the judgment procedure all friendships, acquaintances, relationships (Professional or otherwise) shall in no way be a deciding factor.

6.The winner shall be notified in the usual manner in place at the current time.

7.All decisions made herein are considered binding and final that moderators shall not at any time (Enter discussion, IM, PM, Chat, Forum Post,  Appeal, E-mail, Traditional Postal Letter, Litigation, Tribunal, Committee, Lobby Group or any other method of commutation Known, Unknown, Undergoing Design, Testing or other wise.

Thats all I can think of for now.

Regards to you.

I thought that this contest was supposed to be a bit of fun and not a case to be put in front of the highest court in the land

In future if I place an entry I expect a jury trial

The IotW can go whatever way the community wants it to, but I would tend to agree with Bill - I like a more casual approach. Nuku, is there any reason to reevaluate the existing rules? Aside from themes is there some other problem with the system as it is? I think theme ideas are definitely a good thing to get though. Just remember, it can be anything - wide open! It's tough to think of a subject that's both accessible and easy for people to get into, but also interesting, challenging, and unique. I know from experience, of course. Wink But give it some time and write down ideas as they come, whether you're in the tub or in the car. Cheesy

First let me say thank you for the honor of being choosen the winner of this last IotW contest. The competition was really daunting. Everyones submissions were great IMO.

My suggestion for this next contest would have to be something close to my heart, "The Wild Wild West" Desert scenes. Or, "Fantasy Skies" the Wilder the better!

Both are great ideas. I think Wild Wild West is a pretty creative idea. Would post work be allowed for adding cowboys? Wink

We do already have a [page=57]Monument Valley terrain [/page] which would be perfect for that sort of thing. I may be able to make a higher resolution one available as well if anyone wants it.

Erg, still no contact with CLassic...

In any case, I'm opening one tonight. Basically the same rules as before, I'll take a look at what people have suggested, and I'll consider them for next week. Smiley

Also, I'm stickying this so people can always suggest themes. That'll make my life much easier. :_p

I have noticed that our beloved judges are people who actually have lives (unlike me, lol) and I was trying to think of ways to help them as well as spark additional interest from the community. I came up with this idea. When the winner is chosen from each contest that individual will be the one to pick the next "theme/topic" of the next contest. They wouldn't create the thread per se, that would be for Classic and/or Nuku to do. The winner would submit his/her idea to the Judge of the week for approval (just in case of any problems/issues regarding rules, what is acceptable etc. that might arise) What do you think?

Good idea...suggest a slight adjustment....allow 1 weeks grace to get things organised

Example;- winner announced fifth of the month, picks theme for contest closing 19th of the month
