The renderer appears to be signicantly faster. Opened a file I've had been rendering at 24+ hours in the old version and the new version looks like it will finish rendering in about 2 hours.

Wow, what an impressive list of changes/fixes/new features! Also came surprisingly fast, I expected it maybe early January

With the holiday discount, I'll have to reconsider and see if I can find the money for 2.1 Deep...

I'm seeing about a 20% rendering time improvement -- not bad for a long render.

I sure wish they would add the option to output a "render report" when a render completes.  The information like render time, micro triangles, and resolution is displayed on the render view.  The population instances is displayed as they are generated.  How long would it take to write that out to a text or xml file?

My render turn out to be 12 hours (not the 2 that I thought) but still a big improvement over the 24+ it was last time.
